Walk but never run death will always come you better slow down o to lift this on my own I don’t know how Alive or dead this body you’ll be around the things you can’t control the things you’ll never know Seek and you never find to live like this it seems unkind Alive or dead this body you’ll survive and lets try and let it go for so long lives a soul when you look but you never see when these eyes or no longer me when there far beneath the ground o to leave them on my own I don’t know how Alive or dead this body you’ll be around and lets try and let it go for so long lives a soul

So Deadly 02:32
Hope for the fire to take me I hold my head above the trees and look at the world changing First came the man made machine that tares the eyes from the dream of love so deadly So deadly you are I can live like the animals I don’t need much I don’t need rules that change me that tame me So Deadly they are When burdens gone from it we’re free when the work is done we plant the seed now struck by the chord of everyone now can you see what they have done So Deadly we are

I gave my self all away where am I know where am I now I try and talk no words to say Where are they now where are they Don’t go too far from the source you will part I took it all it blew away from my hands and from face where did they go where are they now where are they Don’t go too far from the source you will part You will part yes you will
5.
Clouds moved in cold and swift the eyes of man turn and shift connection to a better thing will lead you to the steaming train and all I want is to sit and talk to all of you before we die but that would take up all my life and besides what would we say I loved you then but couldn’t stay temptation leads a bitter man you said you would do all you can to help me out in all this drought now if I don’t drink water I will die and this could take up all my life can water move down my throat and into my soul did water heal the open wound could healing happen so soon the river is gone and so we yell how could we not know that we fell so far down here where I can’t see clear when all this vision is leaving from my eyes and this could take up all my life and all i want is to sit and talk to all of you before we die but that would take up all my life
6.
All it once it came with the light when she opened up the door All you thought was gone had returned with the end of a war The rivers washed away the blood from off the ground now safe inside her arms is it love that you found It all came today when you saw everything Walking through the leaves with the smoke in the air So much has been changed your heart and all its cares It all came today when you saw everything You were driving for so long you forgot all about your home now safe inside here arms you are no longer cold
7.
Deha-Antara 01:52
8.
All you know now is all you get remain in love straight to the the end when hell is gone where do we stand stay with him straight to the end I can feel my soul now soul now soul now with the heart we will stay I can see the rain that fell rain fell rain fell into our lives we did grow All you know now is all you get remain in love straight to the the end when hell is gone where do we stand stay with him straight to the end Walking through the grass so tall off the path where the water calls I will sing my life away I will fall so hard to lift my shame When all is gone nothing remains can you believe well I know it’s strange just because there are some rules doesn’t mean that we still can’t choose don’t forget the ways you are not an old dog can be taught an old dog still can be taught to let it go and give it up

about

Death Songs was formed by Nicholas and Nathan Delffs in the Summer of 2007. When they weren’t touring or recording with their other band (The Shaky Hands) they were putting all of their time and energy into this project. Playing shows in a very loose and half improvised manner, they were doing what they had always done since they were kids. Only this time Nicholas was the voice and songwriter and Nathan was the lead guitarist/Pedal Steel player and engineer. They began recording constantly in several different houses all through out Portland. Many improvisations were captured in those sessions and many of the songs were ameditly recorded after the song had been written. Eventually Nathan Delffs moved to New York to pursue his other band Forest Fire and Nicholas soon started to play with his favorite guitar player in Portland(John Gnorski). A new album featuring Delffs' songwriting and Gnorski's guitar has been recorded by Nicholas Taplin, a very good friend and highly respected recording engineer. Out January 2013
